Live Daddying Film Forum in Philadelphia, APRIL 26, 2025
D3F 2024's FREE virtual festival on Eventive presented 40+ Student, Dad & Indie Films celebrating the importance of involved Dads/Dad Figures. The LIVE Daddying Film Forum in Philly brought children/youth together with their Dads/Dad figures and families to examine thoughts, feelings, and insights in response to selected D3F-winning and finalist films. Attendees expressed those responses through Q&A discussion and other creative means.
Here's how D3F 2024's 2-day LIVE Daddying Film Forum agenda looked:
2024 Forum Day 1, Friday, May 17th, from 4-8pm at the Parkway Central Free Library featured screenings of 2024 Atticus Award-winning student and dad-created films, finalist films, including Canadian filmmaker Tristan Barrocks' Dear Black Dad, and a special presentation of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival’s Audience Award winner for Best U.S. documentary and winner for Festival Favorite, Daughters, before its Netflix debut! We were profoundly honored that Girls For A Change founder and co-director, Angela Patton, attended to participate in a live Q&A, and, appropriately, was introduced by her father, Harry Walker.
2024 Forum Day 2, Saturday, May 18th, 10am to 3pm at the iconic Mummers Museum, presented a selection of D3F 2024 indie features (including our 2024 Atticus Award winner Two Lives in Pittsburgh) and dad-created film finalists! Attendees also had access to the museum.

D3F returns to Eventive and Philly in 2025, and we can't wait to share more amazing films celebrating the importance of positively involved Dads with families worldwide!
